Transportation from Playa Chiquita to Puerto Viejo or Manzanillo

Ride On Me Rent-a-Bike by Antonio, in Playa Chiquita

La Kukula Lodge is very well located to get to know all the Caribbean coast from Puerto Viejo to Manzanillo without a private car. The healthiest option is by bicycle, available for renting at El Duende Gourmet Shop or at Ride on Me Rent-a-bike, next to Pura Gula Restaurant.

Bikes are a perfect option during daytime and at night, if willing to have a drink or meal in Puerto Viejo, we will be calling a taxi for you. Cost for a cab ride from Playa Chiquita to Puerto Viejo is 4.000 colones (about US8-). All hotels and restaurants are very helpful when requesting for a cab driver. At La Kukula Lodge we normally call our friends Harry, Martin and Danny, all them very well know in Puerto Viejo.

Local bus is also under operation from Manzanillo to Cahuita, stopping in Puerto Viejo. It is better to request for an update schedule when in La Kukula Lodge since timetable tends to change frequently.
